Call of Duty Mobile has been an incredible success for Activision, allowing the company to continue to monetize a multi-billion dollar franchise. Despite being a phone game that largely centres around older Call of Duty content, it has granted a successful following and become a major focus for Activision.

In continuing the precedent Modern Warfare introduced, the mobile title of the game has been doing free seasonal updates that add numerous pieces of content.

As reported by Dexetro for season 2 of Call of Duty Mobile will be treated to an iconic map from the series. Call of Duty Mobile will introduce the Modern Warfare version of Shipment, and a map that previously made its name for itself in Call of Duty 4.

Fans got attached to the Shipment map thanks to its insanely small, compact nature which allows unfathomable levels of chaos with grenade spam, kill streaks wiping out entries, and constant spawn killing.

There is no fixed release date of Shipment in Call of Duty Mobile, but it will release later this season. To help pass the time, the Call of Duty map Shoot House, which recently leaked, will also be joining the map rotation later this season.

The other classic and incredibly chaotic Modern Warfare map will release next week and will include a Shoot House 24/7 playlist. Even though Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, Call of Duty Mobile is an incredibly accessible way to get into the franchise without owning a console or PC.

It’s high- likely that Activision will continue to support the ever-popular mobile title with Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cod War content, but also potentially content from Call of Duty 2021.

Activision has already confirmed the new entry for the series but hasn’t mentioned and details regarding it. the rumors are being spread the game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games and be set in the Korean War, but it’s unlikely anything will be confirmed later this summer.

Only time will tell, but it would give the mobile game title a diverse line-up of maps and weapons when Activision decides to integrate its content on to it.
