Thor is the God of Thunder, a member of the race known as Asgardians (a group of humanoids beings from a pocket dimension called Asgard). Thor is son of Odin, All Father, and King of Asgard. Odin was worshiped by the humans known as Vikings (and became part of Norse Mythology). Thor is armed with his hammer Mjölnir (made from Uru, magical and powerful metal), which helps him in channelising his powers, he became the mightiest warrior in Nine Realms.
When Thor became irresponsible with his powers, Odin punished him by stripping of his goldy powers and his worthiness to wield Mjölnir, and he was sent to Earth (in Asgardians term known as Midgard), as a medical student named Donald Blake. After learning humility, he regained his memory and got back his powers. Thor went to became the champion and savior of Earth, during his adventures on Earth he became the founding member of Avengers (Earth’s Mightiest Heroes).
