Rockstar Games have recently released a surprise update for GTA V on February 10, 2021, the day before players usually see new in GTA online.
The game has been for over 7 years, which some of you will think that the game content might have become stale. Well, that’s really not how Rockstar games played out, they routinely added new content to the title’s online version.
That being said, those GTA online weekly updates are usually every Thursday, so even the players were shocked to see one appear a day earlier this week.

GTA V Update Patch Note
After a lot of speculation, Rockstar has now confirmed exactly what the mysterious update changed in-game:
- Fixed an issue that resulted in spoiler mods not appearing after purchase on Ocelot Pariah
- Fixed an issue that resulted in incorrect button prompts in the Japanese SKU when opening the safe on the Cayo Perico Heist finale.
- Miscellaneous stability fixes.
All we can say that the update hasn’t added anything new or exciting to the game but it’s great to see that Rockstar games are paying attention and fixing bugs that are affecting players.
Who discovered GTA V update?
The existence of the patch update was first discovered by prominent leaker TezFunz2, who tweeted out of nowhere ” new GTA V patch releasing soon”.
It took just five minutes after that tweet for the patch to start appearing on all devices.
As for the mysterious patch, it’s great to see Rockstar pushing out updates to improve the overall performance of the game.
However, GTA fans are still waiting for the next big content update which as of yet, has not been revealed by Rockstar. In the meantime, there’s always Cayo Perico to keep players busy for the time being.
