The self-proclaimed Grand Theft Auto competitor Everywhere is the first game from Build a Rocket Boy. The studio has undergone various funding since its establishment in 2016, but it wasn’t until Tuesday that it shared the game’s first footage from its mysterious title, which it describes as a cutting-edge sandbox.
It was previously confirmed that the game is being developed by Unreal Engine 5 and the game will be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In terms of features, both single and multiplayer options are available in the game.
Leslie Benzies promises to include an “epic” narrative spanning multiple chapters, while the latter will place a large emphasis on player-generated content, ranging from different activities to full-fledged worlds, as well as native streaming support and other social media functionality.
The 75 seconds teaser released by the studio mostly consists of gameplay clips and is so fast-paced it just manages to show glimpses while maintaining a mystery around the upcoming game.
Regardless, the teaser seems to be consistent with the “Real Life Ready Player One” label that Build a Rocket Boy attached to Everywhere back in its May Tweet.
Among other things, the teaser shows several third-person shootouts, driving gameplay, and multiple biomes, including a futuristic desert city and lush forest.
EVERYWHERE GAME RELEASE DATE
The fact that game is still without an exact release date, but as stated by the game designers, it likely seems the game might be released in late 2023. After all, the holiday season is traditionally a lucrative period for the gaming industry, and it’s no coincidence that Sony and Microsoft both release their consoles in the month of November, even though all gaming accessory sales tend to come in January.
After speaking of seasons, today’s announcement didn’t commit to one, if the game was to be released in the first quarter of the year, but currently doesn’t have an ESRB rating, whereas the trailer specifically states that.
Furthermore, if Build a Rocket Boy studio thinks that the game Everywhere will be ready in the first half of next year. Seeing how major releases rarely happen during the summer months, this only leaves the final quarter of 2023. Naturally, all of these things are based on assumptions and no delays take place in game releases.
