Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Trailer
The first cinematic trailer for Suicide Squad peppers in a decent amount of background on the dynamics of the gang, the terms of Task Force X, and the villains of the game. The villains are the protagonists in this story and the Justice League members are the villains instead.
What’s the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League story?
Kill the Justice League is part of the Arkhamverse (or Arkham-Universe), meaning it’s the story of Arkham Knight. As we saw at the in the ending of Batman Arkham Knight Batman died. So don’t confuse this game’s story with Gotham Knights and the story is picking up in Metropolis instead of Gotham.
The first trailer of the game only tells us that Brainiac Army is attacking Metropolis and Task Force X is being asked to take down the Alpha Target, then we see a helicopter being destroyed but Superman saves the pilot and then kill him with his heat vision.
The Suicide Squad then comes to know that Superman is the alpha target who somehow has gone rogue. As the game’s title suggests that Superman will not be the only villain in this game and other Justice League will also be seen.
What is Kill the Justice League Gameplay like?
In an interview with Rocksteady creative director Sefton Hill says that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a hybrid between their prior Arkham games and some “powerful, awesome gunplay.”
He also said that there will be weapons that you’ll develop over the course of the game, which may refer to a system for upgrading or customizing each villain’s signature weapons.
Rocksteady creative director Sefton Hill also confirmed that Metropolis is an open-world. He calls Metropolis as the fifth character of the game, the way they approached Gotham in past games.
